Karma is my first Malinois. She and I have been training in French Ring together since she was 7 weeks old, early in 2005. While I have trained dogs for many years, she is the first dog I have trained in Ring Sport. We trained with her breeder, Elmer Erickson of Advanced K9 until she was one and a half until we moved north. After taking a year and a half off, I was very happy to have started training again in April of 2008 when I was lucky enough to have French Ring decoy, Holly Hurn move to 100 Mile. With her help we passed our brevet and first leg of Ring 1 in the same trial after only a few months back on the field. April of 2009 we finally achieved our 2nd leg of Ring I for our first title!!!
In addition to French Ring, Karma also really loves agility. She took the puppy agility class at Paws Ahead Dog Agility Club in Burnaby as a puppy and picked it up without forgetting a thing when we started up classes again in 100 Mile House with Roxanne Ziefflie. When she isn't training, she loves water including being sprayed with the hose, boating and swimming and of course loves to play fetch.
Karma has had puppies! Karma x Gryffon(Pedigree) puppies were born July 6, 2010.
Karma's Pedigree
Karma's pedigree includes some impressive dogs. Her father, Bubba (Orrange Jazzy-Tune van Fort Oranje) was the first dog in North America to go from Brevet to Ring III in only five trials. He is a very good example of a multi-talented dog having titles in French Ring, Shutzhund, AKC, Herding and is also a certified therapy dog.
